The wait is over, "Off the Hook" is here, the first release in Tommy Aldridge's light-capture art series. Captured in real time during a performance of Whitesnake's "Still of the Night," the piece was created entirely in darkness with illuminated drumsticks and advanced light-capture technology, preserving every tom-driven fill, explosive roll, and cymbal accent as a living stream of color and motion.
"When I was looking at some of the test shots, it was pretty amazing, really striking, and a beautiful thing to see. It was genuinely impressive. You experience the drumming in a way you otherwise wouldn't."
